Car Care Awareness: Community Partnerships & Service Providers
The Car Care Awareness Program is designed to engage communities through educational materials to ensure they are taking proper care of their vehicle and contributing to the regional air quality solution. The public will be able to access our website to see where they can get discounts on auto repair or replacement parts to keep their vehicle from excessive tailpipe pollution, and to see where vehicle maintenance clinics are being held throughout the region.  More information: www.ntxcarcare.org.
 

Modifications to the Fiscal Year 2022 and 2023 Unified Planning Work Program 

The Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) for Regional Transportation Planning provides a summary of transportation and related air quality planning activities to be conducted in North Central Texas. Regional Smoking Vehicle Program (RSVP)
Since 2007, the RSVP has allowed North Central Texans to help improve air quality by anonymously reporting vehicles emitting visible smoke and pollution. Educational material and information on how to report a smoking vehicle is available upon request. More information: http://www.smokingvehicle.net.
 
Vehicle Incentive & Funding Opportunities
NCTCOG maintains a list of funding opportunities and incentives for projects that reduce air pollution from vehicles or help improve energy efficiency. Examples of projects include, but are not limited to, replacing older vehicles, purchasing electric vehicles, or building alternative fuel infrastructure. Eligible recipients can include citizens as well as companies or fleets. More information: http://www.nctcog.org/aqfunding.
