Transportation Department Business Engagement
About Business Engagement
The Regional Transportation Council (RTC) is the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Dallas-Fort Area and oversees the transportation planning process for the 12-county North Texas region.
The NCTCOG Transportation Department, staff to the RTC, created the Business Engagement Program to develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with members of the Dallas-Fort Worth business community while gaining a better understanding of how transportation programs and projects impact businesses, their employees and economic activity across the region.
Goals of the Program
Staff aim to increase awareness of the Transportation Department, educate the Dallas-Fort Worth business community about transportation and air quality programs and seek meaningful input to incorporate into regional transportation planning.
The department provides businesses with information, resources and engagement opportunities on transportation issues that affect employee mobility, accessibility, and quality of life throughout the region. The initiative also provides opportunities for businesses to share feedback and perspectives to help inform regional transportation planning and decision-making efforts.
